What is on the box, and why

Every product is designed by Rise8 Studios LLC in Henderson, Nevada and manufactured to our specification in China. Country of origin is printed on the retail packaging, not applied as a sticker.

The bamboo utensil set and the microphone utensil are food safe. The bamboo is BPA-free, heat resistant and hand-wash only — it is not dishwasher or microwave safe. Care instructions are printed on the back panel of the box.

Tested for formaldehyde. Our manufacturer had the bamboo in the utensil set tested by DEKRA against the European food-contact standard — Regulation (EC) No 1935/2004 and the German LFGB, Sections 30 and 31. Formaldehyde migration was not detected in any of the three test conditions — acetic acid and ethanol at 100 °C, and olive oil at 175 °C — against a limit of 15 mg/kg. Bamboo for the utensil set and the clothes hangers. The 4x6 guitar body frame is solid pine with a shatterproof acrylic front — acrylic rather than glass, so it will not shatter into fragments — and its backing board and fold-out easel are MDF. The multi-photo frame is MDF throughout. Solid wood with metal pegs for the headstock hooks.

MDF is a composite wood product and is regulated for formaldehyde emissions in the United States. In the 4x6 guitar body frame the MDF is the backing board and the fold-out easel — the frame itself is solid pine. The multi-photo frame is MDF throughout.

That panel stock comes from a mill certified to CARB Phase 2 and TSCA Title VI — the California and federal formaldehyde standards for composite wood — by ICTT Corporation, an accredited third-party certifier. Certificate CARB/EPA19098. Finished frames ship under a TSCA Title VI certification. Ask us and we will send you a copy of either.

Retail boxes carry the FSC mark and recycling marks. The box is recyclable; where a clear window is fitted, the window is not. Both are marked on the pack.

Every unit carries a GS1 barcode on its printed panel, along with the Rise8 Studios LLC address and a contact address.
