Rise8 Studios is a small studio in Henderson, Nevada, run by a professional musician. Since 2016 we have been making things for the way players actually live with their instruments — the kitchen, the music room, the hallway where the guitars hang.

Every shape in the range is our own. We do not private-label: nothing here is a generic product out of someone else's catalogue with a guitar printed on it. Each one is designed here, prototyped, handled, changed and reworked until it looks right to someone who plays.

Who draws them

Hi, I'm Jason

I play trumpet for a living. I grew up in Pittsburgh, studied jazz at the University of North Texas, and moved to Las Vegas in 2010 to join Cirque du Soleil. Most nights since then I have been on a stage somewhere behind people like Lady Gaga, Rod Stewart, Tony Bennett, John Fogerty and Boyz II Men.

Rise8 came out of the gap that leaves. The things musicians get given are mostly a guitar printed on a mug — so I started designing the ones I actually wanted around the house. A set of kitchen utensils with a real fretboard down the handle. A picture frame cut in the shape of a guitar body. Every one of them starts here in Henderson, and nothing goes out that I would not keep myself.

Our own designs

Nothing private-labelled

Every shape in the range is our own design. None of it is a stock product from a catalogue with our name added to it.

Safe materials

Certified low-formaldehyde wood

Pressed wood can give off formaldehyde, which is why the US regulates it. The 4x6 guitar body frame is solid pine; its backing and fold-out easel are MDF, and that MDF comes from a mill certified to the strictest California and federal limits (CARB Phase 2 and TSCA Title VI). The bamboo in the utensil set was lab-tested for the same chemical and none was found. Ask and we will send you the certificates.
